Multiple shape creation on dragging

I got the latest update of illustrator i.e. CC 2017.

But when I tried making any shape by dragging (with or without using shift/alt), I get multiple offset of the same shape.

Have attached a screenshot of the same.

Can anyone help me how to resolve this issue.

it seems you are pressing the  " ~ " key instead of the shift key

Sorry but thats not the case. It happens with or without pressing the shift or alt key.

Do you have any keyboard enhancing software running? Shortcut enhancers, whatever? What kind of pointing device?

Can you try and close eveything else (browsers, e-mail ... everything) then launch Illustrator and try again.

If that does not help, try and connect a different keyboard.

Sometimes, the Tilde key gets stuck. You may try to get it unstuck.

But I guess it was a technique glitch, I reinstalled the software and now its working fine.
