Hi
I wonder if you can help me. I have been trying to follow at tutorial on YouTube to make a Celtic Knot design but I’m having difficulties.
I have the latest version of Illustrator and I’m sure the guy who made the tutorial does too (it’s a very recent post), but some of the controls are very different.
Particularly the control strip along the top of the screen looks very different to mine. Can anyone suggest why this might be the case?
I think I've just realised what it is. I think maybe he made the tutorial on a small screen or changed the resolution whereas I'm using a fairly large screen. When I make my window smaller it also displays like this.
Hi there,
Glad you figure that out. As you are using a large screen, you may increase the User Interface from the preferences to enlarge the UI of the Illustrator. (Ctrl +k / Cmd + k > User Interface > UI Scaling).
Please feel free to reach out if you run into any other questions or issues in the future. We'd be happy to help.
Thanks & Regards,

You can customise what the control bar shows with the menu on the far right:
But its contents will still depend on what you have selected.

Thanks, Dough, I didn't realise you could do this with the control strip. However, I'm still not sure that's what's making it look different.
This is the tutorial I've been watvhing. As you can see, the control strip looks pretty strange:

I don't see anything strange there. Can you be more specific?
