Object no longer snapping to guideline PLEASE HELP

Nothing has changed, no settings has been manipulated with, I've even tried resetting all setting and reinstalling the app, but my vectors and objects no longer snap to guidelines. Smart guide is on, snap to point is on, everything else is off. I can't zoom and center the objects to the guide lines anymore...

Could you please describe in which way you are editing them and which tool you are using?

Do the objects already exist?

Which options are turned on in the Smart guides preferences?

I am trying to align the texts (that have been turned into outlines) center to the page, and it used to snap immediately to the guideline, and now it goes past it and will not snap. I've also tried with vectors and shapes, to no avail.

Sorry for the delayed response! I hope the issue has been resolved by now, but if not, I’d love to help.

I see that Mike and Monika have already shared the Smart Guides settings to snap objects to guides. If it's still not working, could you check if Snap to Grid is turned on? If so, try turning it off and see if that makes a difference.

Also, please test if the issue persists in a new document. If nothing works, you might consider resetting preferences. I noticed you've already tried that—could you confirm if you followed the method shared on this page? If so, no need to redo the steps. Just ensure you back up any customized settings, presets, or workspaces before making any changes.
