Outlined text, want to convert to proper shape without outlines

Not quite sure WHAT to search for in the help section! I have lettering that is destined to be used on signage, thickened with an outline stroke. Looks good overall but I'm encountering the inevitable jagged points here & there. Is there a simple way to "expand" these outlines, into a proper shape? Not sure I'm explaining myself clearly? 😕

Hi Yes,

Just set the text to Stroke with no fill and Expand it Twice Object> Expand.

I hope I understood your question correctly.

In the stoke panel, work with the Miter Limit number to reduce the points.  Another option is to choose Round Join for the corners in the same panel.

YES! @Simmer, this is what I'm looking for. Do it so infrequently I didn't even know how to ask! 😛 Thanks!
