Path Offset Method Javascript 2021

Community Beginner ,

Hows it going guys,

I was just wondering if anyone knows of a path offset method withing the SDK or API for Illustrator. I saw a post from 2009 talking about this issue and how there is no method created for it yet. Does anyone know if they came out with one in the 2017 relase? If not can someone point me in the right direction as to how best go about offsetting a path from the API.

Thanks !
