Hi,

I'm new in Illustrator and would like to have some advises.

I have a couple of PDF files which printed from an Excel file using Adobe PDF writer. The excel file content is only one cell that have a text e.g. "ABCDEFG".

I would like to have those PDF files open in Illustrator and make them into a graphic EPS files with a particular size (width and height), is there any sample script/program that do it or is there any hints / references for making this script/program?

Also, to make the PDF file content into a graphic (.EPS), should it need to make the opened PDF file into graphic/get the outline first? Any function to do it? Or, is there any function to make the .EPS graphic file directly?

Thanks.

Henry

I'd look at recording what you want with actions. If that doesn't provide enough functionality, you can invoke actions from code -- as a last resort I think that would do what you need.
