pen tool not functioning properly.

Hi there, I am having a problem with my pen tool right now. It is automaticlly set to curve when I want it to be back to its default mode. Can someone help me find out the problem and how I can fix that problem? That would be appreicated.

Are you sure you have the Pen tool selected? There is also a Curvature tool which works as you described.
