porting a plug in to a new computer

New Here ,
Aug 01, 2021 Aug 01, 2021

Hello

I have made a plug-in that runs perfectly on my computer but not on a fresh windows install.

I am avare of redistribuable DLL's but the plug-in wont load at all on these new computers.

What should I do to investigate the case?

I have tried putting the plug-in alone, then the VC dlls, without any success. Illustrator still complains when trying to load the plug-in.

Any clue are welcome.

Thansk

Christian

The best dependency checker seems to be "dependencies" https://github.com/lucasg/Dependencies

Bear in mind you cannot just copy the VC DLLs. They need to be installed with Microsoft's installer, to system libraries.
