Presentation mode malfunction on a MacBook Pro M1

Hi!,

 

In the latest version of Illustrator (26.5), after exiting the presenatione mode (Shift + F) the window automatically resizes off the screen. 

It's very frustating and completely ruins my workflow, how can i fix it?

 

The same problem can also be seen in the latest version of Indesign (17.4), exiting the presentation mode (shift + F). After that i have to manually resize the window.

    Hello,

    I have encountered a problem while using the Illustrator 2023 27.0. on iMac in the presentation mode, my keyboard is not functioning properly. In other words, I cannot exit the mode, nor can I scroll through slides. The feature starts working after 15-20 clicks, sometimes not even then. Is there a way to fix this problem?

    Sorry to hear about this experience. Would you mind trying to update Illustrator and your OS to the latest version or rebooting your computer in Safe Mode and checking if it helps?

     

    If not, kindly share some more details, like the exact version of the OS/Illustrator, a screenshot of the About this Mac window, details about the peripherals used (keyboard/mouse/tablet), and a screen recording of the problem while you have the On Screen Keyboard window open, so that we can investigate this further.

    Hello Anubhav,
    I recorded the screen when it crashed, you can see it. The new problem I have is with the text area, you will see it. Also, the document is on cloud. You can see the iMac version on the link (screen recording) and Illustrator was last updated to version 27.0.1

    Sorry to hear about this experience. Would you mind trying to relaunch Illustrator after resetting the Display Resolution and Scaling settings to the default and disconnecting any external monitors (if connected) to check if it helps?

     

    If the issue persists, kindly share some more information, like the exact version of the OS installed on your computer and a screen recording of the problem so we can investigate this further.
