Preview bug

Community Beginner ,

For a few versions now, the preview in Illustrator has been weird, in that it does not match the outline view in different areas, especially around corners. Example below (all fill; no stroke). I've just been hoping that this will be fixed, but with every new update it still exists, or in this instance, gets worse. Users need to be confident that what we see on screen is what will print, and it's just annoying in general.

Illustrator 25.2.1 / Mac 10.14.6

Most likely this phenomenon will disappear if you go to the View menu > View using CPU or cmd/ctrl + E. There have been innumerable discussions about this for quite some time, including this one. You may wish to search the forum for other "preview bug" threads, or "GPU bug", or the like, for more information.

Thanks for the reply! I should have located that in existing threads ... apologies. Switching to CPU does indeed fix the view. It does create a delay in zooming and scrolling, however, so I'll just toggle based on my needs at any given moment. I guess that's the idea, with it being first in the menu with a built-in hot key. I'm a long-time Ai user, but I've just been experiencing this issue relatively recently. Knowing what's going on is helpful. I appreciate your contribution.
