Hi!

I have a problem with the lines when I use the brush tool. I want to use the 'standard' line but everytime I try to draw something,

the line changes back to the last line I used. How do I get my standard line back?

So you want "no brush" applied? Then don't use the brush tool at all. Use the pencil tool.

And you might want to check the setting "New art has basic appearance" in the appearance panel.

With nothing selected, type "D" to go to Default appearance and the next object you use will have the default appearance—unless you click on another object to pick up its appearance.

As Monika says, you can also use the controls in the Appearance panel to control the appearance.

Not when you use the brush tool. The brush tool will always apply a brush.
