Hello Everybody,
I have a problem with Font in PDF/X saving.
PDF/X says "They will Embedded font when you save file."
But In PDF/X4 They Embedded "Open Type Font".
That means in PDF/X1a or PDF/X3 didn't embed Open Type Font?
I want to know. What font type that PDF/X1a and PDF/X3 embedded in a file?
In my Opinion, I think PDF/X1a and PDF/X3 embedded True Type Font and some Open Type Font.
and Open Type Font has a new release until now that PDF/X1a and PDF/X3 cant embedded. Then PDF/X4 solve this Problem.
PDF/X4 can embed True Type Font and All Open Type Font.
Thank you for an answer.
ps. Sorry for my grammar. I'm not frequency in English.
Most PDF files do not embed OpenType fonts directly. They convert to Type 1 or TrueType fonts and use that. The font is identical, so this never causes any issues. It is now possible to embed OpenType fonts directly. I do not know of any advantage to this.
OpenType fonts are actually containers with a TrueType or Type 1 font inside.
