I am incredibly new to all of this and trying to teach myself illustrator and Photoshop.
I purchased a vector stock graphic on vectorstock.com.
I created a graphic in illustrator.
I saved it as a JPEG and a copy as a PDF.
My goal is to use it as a banner on the word press blog.
Unfortunately, it’s huge!
Now I’m not sure how to size it for the word press blog.
Will this need to be done in Photoshop?
Because I tried and it looked horrible.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you all so much!

You can try to save it using [Save for web] command. It will give you a file with good resolution and low size.
But you should be sure that your file has a suitable width and height for your web using as in pixels so it will be more easy and low size.
You can make save for web from File > Export > Save for Web
you can see the size in the optimized window and you can reduce it by reducing the JPG quality from right.
