How do I set the artboard to 15MP? What is MP stand for?
aha, i think I have it:
Vectors:
so it's talking about a separate file(?)

Yes I'd like to know that too.
What language is adobe speaking?
Arboards are not set in megapixels, they are set using pixel/unit dimensions. 15mp Artboard in photographic dimensions is about 5000 X 3000 pixels. But even if you set that is your Artboard dimension, I still get upload error.

I think the big question here is not what app you design with, but to what you are uploading.

Looks like an Illustrator query hence moving to Illustrator

That's a contradiction in terms. Vector graphics are resolution-independent, and measurement in pixels (or 'megapixels') doesn't apply unless a vector graphic has been rasterized.
As Test Screen Name hints above, you'll need to provide more detail as to the context of your question. Where does this image size specification come from, and what are you trying to submit?

i think they're talking about adobe stock:
Technical requirements for content: Minimum resolution of the vector is 15MP (?)
what the point would be of a pixel dimension requirement is unclear to me though.

Sounds like a case of someone trying to sound like they know more than they do. I frequently get magazine ad specs that say they require a "high resolution vector" or website banner ad specs that require a "high resolution JPEG".

Now that makes a lot more sense!
