Rearrange All Artboards - AI 22.0.1 [Not working]

I have upgraded recently to Adobe Illustrator CC 22.0.1.

I have created artboards and marked it 1, 3 and 2. Now I wanted to rearrange 1, 2 and 3.

I am not able to "Rearrange All Artboards".

Cursor is showing busy. Esc will stop the busy cursor.

How large are those artboards?

Which settings do you have for rearranging them? Maybe gaps are too large?

1. I faced the problem while working on 1280x800 px, document file size 1,808 KB.
2. Later I tested this with 400x400 px artboards, document file size is 350KB.

There are basic vector elements, no Effects.
On selecting "Rearrange All Artboards" there are no popups to enter gaping and direction.
I also tried: Properties > Edit Artboards > Artboards > "Rearrange All". Cursor is showing busy. Same behavior.

Today I am able to "Rearrange all Artboards".

I have upgraded to Win 10 and AI 22.0.1 last week. AI freezes while rearranging the artboards.

Disclaimer: I took various steps during this period, which one worked I dont know. I have reinstall the AI and Reset the preferences.

I have found similar use case in one of the forum.

Discussion on the forum inspired me to delete and regenerate the preference file. In my case, as this is the first time installation It seems set interval 0mm value is not defined or it is a NaN. By deleting the default Pref file, AI has recreated the file.

Illustrator 2018 Artboard Problem

It way show the issue when you use spacing between artboards as 0. So either dont use that or update to new version of ilustrator.
