Remove outline on segment of a shape

I am migrating to Illustrator from Corel.  Beginner question: If I draw a shape like a square, and assign it an outline, is there a way for me to remove the outline from one segment of the square (like I recall doing in Flash back in the day).  Example image attached.

Sélectionnez le segment à l'aide de l'outil de sélection directe (A)

puis activez la touche Suppr.

Valable pour tout type de segment.
