Remove White Background

Nuevo aquí ,

I need to remove the white rectangle behind the name in the image below. I have tried every button in the pathfinder but I can't make just the center disappear. I used the white to hide the center of the circle and I want to keep the lines hidden. Any ideas?Annotation 2020-07-02 103054.png

So there is a white rectangle and then there is the text?

Apply a black fill to the rectangle

Select the rectangle and the sign and in the transparency panel click "Make mask".

In the option uncheck the option "Clip"

It appears by your screenshot that your original stroke did not get deleted when you converted it to a compound path. Go to the Outline mode and using the direct selection tool (white arrow) select the middle line (which is the original stroke) of the compound path and delete it. Then select the compound path and the rectangle you're using to define the cuts and use the Minus Front Pathfinder. Make sure that the defining shape is in front of the compound path when you run the the Minus Front.

If your goal is to end the circles short of the type then the pathfinders will not work because those functions don't work for strokes. If the circles are vector strokes then you must first convert the strokes to compound paths (do each stroke one at a time). Start by selecting a stroke and using Object>Path>Outline Stroke. This will create a compound path. You can then put your box over the shape (also copy the shape to the clipboard so that you can Edit>Paste in Place it for the remaining circles). Select both the compound path and the box and use the Pathfinder Minus Front function, this will leave the final object so that it is actually altered as in the final picture below which is seen the Outline mode (Command (Mac)/Control (PC)-Y toggles back and forth between Outline and Preview).
