Replicate Save As Functionality on a Customized Button

I have created a new menu item button 'Export' when this menu item is clicked I want the current open project to be saved to a specific location of my choice which will be embedded in the code.

Can anyone tell me how to achieve this functionality ? I am a newbie to adobe illustrator sdk. I am using the CS6 version and the guide provided with the sdk doesn't help me much in this customization. Will appreciate any help from you guys !!

you should take a look at SnippetRunner project. (provided with sdks).

DocumentActionHelper is the helper class you are looking for. you may to do some modifications, but it is a good start to begin with.
