I'm scaling objects in Illustrator 23.01, but as I do it, the info pallet is remaining static, and I don't see new values until I let go of the anchor point, making it very difficult to resize an object to an exact size. How do I get this information to change on the fly, as I'm doing it. It worked in previous version of Illustrator, but appears to no longer be working.
Kurt is right about the different tools producing the live scaling percentage. My initial test were using the bounding box for the scaling. When you use the scale tool or the direct selection tool instead it adds a "live" height and width scaling percentage to the info panel as you scale.

I don't remember the "live" scaling you're talking about ever being part of Illustrator. I tested it in CC 2018 as well as CC 2019 with the same results. The info, control, transform and properties panel do not show the new dimensions during the scale operation. Are you sure you're not thinking of Photoshop where it does work this way?

That kind of display on the fly used to work depending on the tools you were using (e.g. Direct Selection tool, Scale tool, Free Transform tool). It showed percental increase or decrease. Or moving distances and angles.
As far as I can see it still does work in the latest version of Illustrator.
Can you clarify the issue you are facing?
