Scripting masks and clipping

I have some images that I am adding to a document as placedItems. I need to clip them to some paths that I have in the document.

How would I script this behavior?

make a new group,

move your pic into new group placement @ end,

move your path item into new group placement @ front,

set clipping of first path item of group to true
