Setting AI zoom to click-and-drag (marquee?)

Think this is called a marquee selection? I updated and it's scrubby zoom now -- I prefer the click-and-drag-to-zoom option. Thank you.

The setting is under Preferences > Performance. Untick 'Animated Zoom'.
