Shift no longer constraining on Illustrator on MAC

Explorer ,
Jun 05, 2019 Jun 05, 2019

Hello! This just started happening. Constrain stopped working. I do know what Macs latest update made for some inconvenient security setting updates, which caused my wacom to stop working, but i checked illustrator when i went through those settings. All my other keyboard shortcuts seem to be working fine (T, V, A, etc)

but I cant constrain OR do multiple layer selects at once anymore. HALP

Hey all, turns out there was an issues with my last MAC update, it glitched. I completely reinstalled the newest OS and it fixed it. All of the issues were gone. Thanks though!

Various third-party applications (e.g, virus checkers, password software) can "capture" modifiers like the Shift or Space Bar.

Try quitting out of Illustrator and launching it before all your other applications (including those launched at startup), and chances are the Shift key will work again. Then it becomes a detective game to see which application or browser extension is the thief.
