Spacebar is not working as Hand tool shortcut in Illustrator on macOS Mojave

i keep losing the SPACEBAR (hand) shortcut that I use ALL the time!

I reset my preferences and it didn't come back!!

it comes and goes RANDOMLY... i restart Illustrator all the time, but right now, it is NOT coming back...

this is driving me crazy!!!!

Try and shut down your browser. Launch only Illustrator

Thanks for reaching out. As per your query, the spacebar is not working for Hand tool shortcut. I would request if you can share a few more details like:

• Are other shortcuts working fine like Shift for constraint?
• Do you have Wacom installed on your system?
• When did this start happening? Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates or web extensions installed recently.

yes, i have Wacom tablet drivers installed.

the problem happens on all my adobe products... indesign, photoshop, illustrator...

now, i am noticing that when the problem starts with one, it happens for all 3.

when it comes back for 1, it comes back for all 3.

sometimes, i leave my computer for 10-15 min...when i come back, it suddenly works correctly.

it is driving me crazy.

yes, other shortcuts work like Z for zoom...H works as a short cut for the hand tool...but the spacebar doesn't

yes i have several Wacom drivers as I use at least 2 different tablets...2 different locations.

no antivirus...

no web extensions....

mac is always doing updates so i have the latest installed...Big Sur 11.2.3

I remember this bug used to drive me crazy but it hasn't happened to me in a long time. Have you tried shutting down your web browser(s) entirely as @Monika Gause suggested to see if the Space button starts working again?
