Spring loaded keys in Illustrator

New Here ,
Mar 20, 2018 Mar 20, 2018

I have been using spring loaded keys in Photoshop to quickly toggle between tools for a long time. I recently started using Illustrator, and it seems that there is no similar feature in Illustrator. Do I have to enable it somewhere in the preferences, or is this feature simply missing in Illustrator?

As far as I know, this is not possible in Illustrator.

But you can do a feature request here:

If you want to quickly switch between tools you should know that there is a single letter you can type to quickly access most of the tools in the tool panel. If you run your cursor over the tool panel to activate the tool tips you will see that each tool tip gives you the letter to type for that tool.
