I'm trying to export a logo as an SVG. It looks great onscreen and as a PNG export (see screenshot 1). But the olive leaves are in entirely the wrong place on the SVG export. (see screenshot 2). The olive leaves have a warp and scale on them to get them to match the right shape for this logo. Two separate branches grouped together.

Have you tried using "Expand Appearance" on the leaves before exporting to SVG?

I didn't. Now I have. No joy. Oak leaves are still drastically mispositioned.

More info: Illustrator is up-to-date.
The move isn't random. Next two pics:
I moved the oak leaves in Illustrator and they moved a proportionate amount in the SVG. It doesn't look like quite the same distance, but the image is still significantly up and to the left.

Those leaves: are they symbols?
When checking the SVG, how do you do it? Just opening it in a browser?
