Text (Drop Shadow)

How can I make a 'Drop Shadow' on text like in this picture...

Fill your text with none.

Add new Fill and Stroke in the Appearance Panel (Stroke below the Fill.

Add a 3D Effect  (you may have to add a 1 degree to the Y axis Rotation and remove it to get the right preview).

Brilliant!!! .....do you know how to not have any of the text shape under the letter R like in the picture,
