Text slanting when arched and i DONT LIKE IT.

I want to be able to rotate the text so it arches sideways, but i DONT want the text to slant. Why does it make it slanted when i rotate it sideways? I dont want it to do that. Help please?

What exactly are you doing step by step using which functions/tools exactly?

You may be happier if you use Type on a Path, then rotate, or just move/drag the Type along the (sufficiently long) path to the desired angle (range); that will also give you undistorted letter shapes.
