I would be extremely grateful if someone could help me with my problem:
I have made a design with colors in Photoshop. I have found the color-shades I want for my illustration in Photoshop, my Photoshop is set to RGB colors.
I will now color my illustration with these colors in Adobe Illustrator, but when I use the color-codes from the colors I used in Photoshop, ex: #8293e4, it is a different shade of color in Adobe Illustrator. Even though I have set the color mode to RGB in Adobe Illustrator, I can even see that it says RGB in the file name. Despite this, the color shade in Adobe Illustrator appears to be in CMYK as it is much more dull/grey in Adobe Illustrator than in Photoshop.
If I switch between the two color modes RGB and CMYK in Adobe Illustrator, the shades don't change at all...that's not how it should be, is it?
The same color code in RGB in Photoshop vs. RGB in Adobe Illustrator should give exactly the same shade, right?
I have tried restarting both computer and adobe illustrator.
Does anyone know how I can solve my problem? I would have been so incredibly grateful!

Is the color management in Illustrator set up the same way as in Photoshop?
Once the color mode is converted to CMYK, the colors get changed. Converting to RGB will not change the colors back to how they once were.

Are there any important color settings other than RGB and CMYK?

Are the colour profiles and other settings the same? Yes, there is much much more to it than just "RGB versus CMYK".
