Hello,
I have a problem with Illustrator CC. When I have a closed path, the path line is not
aligned to the shape it self there is a gap between the path and the real shape outline.
Which is difficult when I try to fix the shape lines.

Do you use GPU preview or CPU preview?

Have you tried to change it?

I don't know why the path is not aligned with the shape it self.

Hi. Check in the Appearance panel if the shape has an effect applied.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I could see the difference between the path and the actual shape, that's definitely not what should be happening. Let us make this right. Could you please check how it works when you turn off GPU performance from Illustrator preferences? Go to Illustrator (Mac)/ Edit (Windows) > Preferences > Performance > Uncheck GPU Performance.

If that doesn't help either, please share the following details:

  • OS and version of Illustrator
  • Graphic card installed on your machine.
  • When did this start happening? Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates or web extensions installed recently.
  • Is the issue related to a specific document(s)/asset(s)? If yes, could you please share the document(s)/asset(s) with us? You can upload it to the creative cloud and share the download link.

We’re here to help, just need more info.

Regards,

Srishti

Thank you so much for confirming this. In case you are working on Windows machine, try following these steps in your free time:

  • Update graphic card manually from the manufacturer's website (please do not use CD/DVDs). For example, if you NVIDIA graphic card, uninstall the driver and reinstall it from https://www.nvidia.in/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-in
  • Restart the system once it is installed succesfully.
  • Then try turning on the GPU performance once again and check how it works.

This option is not available for MAC.

Regards!
