These black guide lines appeared at some point while I was working on the arch strokes, which are outlined strokes. They seem to only be able to move the segment that they correspond to. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to get rid of them! And to my surprise, they show up when I export the image. I've scoured the "View" drop-down and the "Preferences" menu to no avail, and can't seem to find anyone else who's had this issue. I'm sure it's a super simple fix that I just don't know about yet..please help!
Or if you've applied the trim effect by accident somehow, select one of the objects that they appear to correspond to and check the appearance panel.

Check what preview mode you have, GPU or CPU. You can see it in the view menu, the second line. If it says "Preview in CPU", select it and see what happens. If it does not help, tell us to search for another cause.

in addition: could you please show the screenshot with the Layers panel expanded?

They look like Trim Marks.
Can you select one of them and do a Select Similar Stroke weight and delete them?
