There's only rulers, grid on and a black rectangle on 58% opacity in my file; thin black lines appear and disappear when moving the canvas around, i cant click on them or anything. How can I fix this?

Attached is a video of the canvas moving around and the lines appearing.

Could it be a graphics card problem? Try if it happens when you switch to from GPU to CPU Preview: Ctrl E (or Cmd E on Mac). If it disappears, check the settings of your graphic card and check for driver updates.

Switching between GPU and CPU didn't do anything and my drivers are up to date 😞 I had an Ilustrator update pending but it also did nothing when installed. Is there anything else I can do?

Sometimes resetting preferences help when strange things happen. Maybe someone has other ideas.
