Is there any authentic site to download this script?
Are you sure you downloaded the correct thing?
It should be a jsx and it doesn't come with an installer.

can't see any issues with the script in Illustrator. It works perfectly. Exactly what error are you getting and which object are you applying it to?

Unwittingly I opened this file in Ai therefore it shows Ai icon but it is not a Ai filel it is a *.jsx file. Is it possible to remove this icon?

I don't know how Windows handles that. I would suggest you do a search on how to change an icon on Windows.

To change the default Application (and its icon) on Windows, right click on the jsx file, then click on Open With option. Then you'll get a list of apps to choose from. The default app should be ExtendScript Toolkit, if you don't have it installed, choose Notepad. Or at the bottom of the list there's "Choose Another app" option
you'll get more apps to choose from, pick VSCode or some other editor then click "Always" to make it the default App to open *.jsx files

Thanks for the information. Please give the path of VSCode.

If you don't see VSCode in the app list it means that it is not installed. Install it then try again.

You don't need VSCode unless you want to start writing code. Just use Notepad.

I agree with you. There is a method given but it does not come for me.
