I have created a suite of icons that have live type on a circular path. When I resize these (by dragging the corners) the type jumps off its original orientation and I have to reset it again - see screen grab.
This doesn't happen if I scale it using the % field and I need the type to be live in order to develop more icons.
I have had this trouble for many years and just manually reset them all. Any one have any suggestions??

Hi Harshika,
I have multiple versions installed. Using version 29.8.2 on the same file yeilds the same results. Text on a path still flips or changes position.
Thank you,

The weird thing I notice is that a simple undo won't return the type to it's original position after the glitch. It takes two undo commands to reset the type to what "appears" to be the original position.

If you scale using the percentage, it keeps it in place. But I often don't know what percentage I need.
I went through a great amount of testing with Adobe and they could never replicate it. Even on my files.

So our problems are similar but not the same. My text is set on a circle but I'm only moving the cirlce and the type shifts. I tried your scenario on my file and resizing using the selection box handles sent the type flying. I then reverted the file to original and tried to scale using the percentage prompt and it was fine. Here's the interesting part, no amount of undo's would return the text back to original position after using freescaling. My trick of changing the font color does not help your situation. Changing the font color at least alowed me to undo (twice) the freescale and then the type would return to the original position. For my work, any shift over 0.003" is not acceptable.

It's so annoying... I am the original author of this post, have just changed adobe accounts.
I have been struggling with this issue for years and am so nervous that I send an artwork out with it crooked. I went though all the testing of the files with Adobe techs and they couldnt replicate the issue - even on my glitchy original files. They made me feel like I was the only person experiencing this and that they didnt have a bug.

I experience this all the time too. I'm also a packaging designer and often use type on a path. Th emost frustrating thing is the lack of being able to undo the move. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix this bug.
