I have an image that I need to make a different color and have the background be removed. I have the file in a JPEG format (with background) and a PNG format (without background). I have tried image tracing the JPEG, it's not hi-res enough to turn out well. I've converted the JPEG to greyscale and changed the color that way, but then I can't remove the background. I have tried every which way to change the color of the PNG file but cannot figure it out. Below is the image. I need it to be a specific color, so I cant just mess with the color balance of the PNG. I have photoshop too, if that helps.
The short answer is yes, Photoshop is the appropriate tool to change the color of a raster (pixel) image.
