I'm trying to export two different projects, one being 1728x512 pixels and the other one 840x400 pixels (dimensions given by the billboard agency), both projects are designed to be billboards and even tho I'm trying to export them at 72ppi, it still gives me the error message. What can I do?

Are you creating files for digital LED-based billboards? Or is the project meant for print?

1728px X 512px and 840px X 400px would be above average pixel counts for typical LED-based billboards. But that kind of resolution wouldn't be so good for printed billboards.

A setting such as 72ppi doesn't mean anything for LED-based billboards, the artwork should just be designed with the pixel dimensions of the electronic billboard. The ppi setting is very important for printed billboards.

Assuming you are correctly exporting your artwork at 72ppi, If you are using "Export As..." make sure you have selected "Use Artboards", otherwise it will try and export everything in your entire workspace. Also: use "Art Optimized"
