Unable to launch Illustrator. Error: NVIDIA OpenGL Driver crash: Error Code 6

Hello,

Recently I've had this error code pop up on launch of Illustrator CC 2018.

System Info

OS: Window 10 Enterprise version 1803

CPU: Xeon E5 1620

RAM: 16 GB DDR3

GPU: Nvidia Quadro 2000

VRAM: 1 GB GDDR5

It seems obvious - the minimum VRAM requirement for GPU mode in Ai CC 2018 is 1 GB - however I've had the smae system and program for awhile now, using multiple different 3D apps at once somewhat frequently, and have not seen this issue before the past week. It's occured twice, once with many apps open, and more recently with only illustrator open.

Wanted to get some other suggestions before looking into a GPU upgrade.

Thanks,

Is there any tweaks you can try from the NVidia control panel. as per suggested from https://community.adobe.com/t5/Premiere-Pro/Nvidia-OpenGL-Driver-crash-on-startup/td-p/9711977

Can you confirm as well that you have updated your drivers? I get mine updated through the NVidia Experience application

Yes, I should have mentioned that was the first thing I checked. Quadro cards don't use the GeForce app, but the graphics driver is up to date. The card is old and the final driver update for it was about 2 years ago. I can look at the control panel settings, but that linked error code referred to a different issue. I was able to use the program as usual today, sohopefully it's ok now.
