Unable to use/open illustrator cc 2018 app in windows 8.1

Hi,

I was using Illustrator CC 2018 on my Windows 8.1 pc just fine yesterday. Today, when I powered up my pc and opened the app, all I get is I have to sign in to open the app. After trying to sign in, it says i need to "update" my browser, which I have. After all that, it still saying I need to sign in and "update".

Can anyone help me on this issue? The key point is that it was WORKING fine just yesterday!
