unzipping zxp brush file

I purchased an add-on brush file that is compressed in a zxp file. I have tried extension manager to extract the brushes but it still won't open. I am running Ai cc and when I go to other libraries in the brush window to open the file it says "The file .zxp is an unkown format and its styles cannot be imported." I get that the brushes need to be extracted from the file, but I can't seem to do that. How can I get the brushes extracted so I can use them?

Maybe contact the seller so they send you the brushes file without stupid zxp packaging. The Extension Manager has been discontinued some years ago.

if you have windows then  free and safe 7zip

can at least extract the contents from a  .zxp file,

put the  file in it's own folder and right click - extract here - is easiest way.

Then install then manually .

Brushes, swatches, actions etc

They may or may not work...
