Using Windows Clipboard history in script fields results in double paste

All my scripts for Illustrator have this problem. When i try to paste information from Clipboard history to a field, the results are double pasted. Only thing I found was a similar problem in dreamweaver here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/dreamweaver-discussions/copy-amp-paste-using-win-v-results-in-text-be...

Maybe this is more of a Windows problem, than Adobe?

ok, it could be an illustrator issue.

I just tried v24.3 on Win 11 and I see the double paste.

As a workaround, press & hold the Shift key before pasting to get single paste

Let me know if that combo works on Win 10

Holding shift seems to fix the problem. Thanks!. Any idea why it fixes this?

I have no idea, I just pressed all keys to see if any of them would work, Shift did the trick. By the way, holding Alt before clicking closes the Clipboard widget without pasting, same as pressing Esc.
