Wacom tablet use crashes Illustrator?

I've been having problems with my Wacom Intuos crashing Illustrator within the first few minutes of use (mainly when I click on the pen tool). Noticed that this has been happening for the last couple weeks. It happens at random intervals and it doesn't save any of my work - I can't make any progress on my projects as a result.  I've already updated all the drivers, made sure my graphics card drivers are up to date and am still having issues.  When I use my regular mouse, everything seems to work fine as well and Illustrator doesn't crash.  No crash reports or alerts are generated.  Has anyone come up with a fix for this?

Thanks!!!

@DeAnna2023  in my case the solution was rollback to the driver of a previous version 6.4.0-11.
Download the old driver from wacom website.

Try that solution and see if works for you.

I'm having the same issue! Illustrator keeps adding a link to this page Fix issues when using a Wacom device (adobe.com) My drivers have been uninstalled/reinstalled and it's staying on a bit longer and then crashing.

I have the same issue.

From Windows Event Log I found out that the Wintab32.dll file is causing the problem:

The same issue is covered here: [SOLVED] Adobe Illustrator Crashes (spiceworks.com)
One solution can be renaming the Wintab32.dll to Wintab32.dll.BAK
or as @tikyta said,
Download the Wacom driver version 6.4.0-11
