What to do if you can't see your artboard(s) (boarders) on your drawing area?

I cannot visually see my artboard on my drawing area in illustrator. everything is white and I have tried to change the color in user interface but that is not it. I think I may have accidentally clicked shit+ command + something else or some random key strokes to make this not appear any solutions?

does not work, I can still see the preview outline of my art but not the actual work itself. very frustrating not have a simple solution to such an obvious problem.

Please tell us what exactly you have, which version and system this is, what you expect Illustrator to do and what exactly does not work.

Screenshots help understand. We can't see what's on your monitor.

I would venture to guess that yours is not the same problem as the OP, that you have pressed cmd/ctrl + Y and entered Outline mode. Press that combination again, and your artwork should reappear. Or go to the View menu > Preview.

If you outlined of all of your work I suggest you try Command + Y on Mac or Ctrl + Y on Windows or go to View and click on Preview (which will then turn into Outline).

If that doesn't help, and you hided your Artboard(s), click Command + Shift + H on Mac or Ctrl + Shift + H on Windows or go to View and choose Show Artboards (which will then turn into Hide Artboards).

command + shift + D. can be the solution. if you've done as I did and turned on "transparency layer" or something along those lines. (don't know the english name for the function, since I'm working in swedish..)
