When I open a multiple pages illustrator file, all my text and images have moved and are overlapping

I have created a multiple paged illustrator file, nothing to complex, mostly text & images. However, when I save it and close the file, when opening the next day all my text and images have moved onto to different pages or off the artboards and I have to re-do the pages again. Any ideas?

The version I am working with is the PC version of  Illustrator 29.8.1, trying to remember when it started, but it was recent problem.

Could you try installing an earlier version of Illustrator (https://adobe.ly/4guUEZj) and checking if it behaves the same there?

I'm having the same problem. I was using the latest version 29.8.2 on Mac. Desktop. Apple M3 - macOS Sequoia version 15.1.1.

I also noticed with this version of Illustrator, when placing .ai files directly into InDesign parts of the designs where missing or off the page.

I've installed the previous version and everything looks ok so far. 

Is this a know bug?

Bonjour, j'ai exactement le même problème : la seule solution trouvée en provisoire est de l'enregistrer au format PDF avec l'option "conserver les fonctions d'édition d'Illustrator" et de l'ouvrir de nouveau dans Illustrator. Dans ce cas-là rien n'a bougé.

Yes that is a work around thank you. Hopefully this issue will be fixed soon.
