I did this logo last week, and today I open ithe .ai file and there is a strange black rectangle in the middle of it that wasn't there before. I can't select it, delete it or anything.

Can anyone tell me how this line got there and how to delete it?

I just had to reset preferences for another weird issue I started having and that fixed it, must have been related.

Thanks.

Adding that it only happens with this one file. Other files I created last week do not have this problem.

Thanks.

Wirhout being able to even see a complete screenshot it's impossible to help you.

- Check out the Layers panel. Does the rectangle show up there?

- Is there a special appearance apüplied to any of the layers or objects?

- WHen you go into presentation preview i the rectangle still there?

- when you export the file: does it show?

Can you check the Artboards panel? Maybe you have multiple artboards on top of each other.
