Hi All,
Doing t-shirt designs in Illustrator CC (latest version) and while exporting to jpg I cannot seem to get rid of the white background.
I've tried to expand and delete
I've also done control Y to attempt to find hidden elements.
I exported with the "artboard" checked
None seem to work. the .ai file looks fine when showing transparency grid but I cannot seem to get rid of the white background. I have only 3 layers. Any suggestions? Thanks
Thanks so much for your time. Attached is the screenshot!

JPEG is a file type that doesn't allow for transparencies. If you have any in your art, and export, it will automatically fill them in.
Use PNG instead. That file type allows for transparent and partially transparent areas while still allowing for millions of colors, like a JPEG.

If you do Save for Web and Clip to Artboard unchecked, would it help?

Jpg does not support transparency.
If your printer asked for a jpg, then the white background will not be a problem for them.

Thanks! I was able to save the file as a png, which is accepted. Thanks for reaching out!
