Currently using Adobe Illustrator CC 2015.
Im setting up a typeface that will be pasted onto Fontlab. Ive set up mostly everything BUT now that im looking at the values of each Y axis to find my ascender, descender, etc.. the numbers are backwards. My descender is valued positive and my cap height is negative.
I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and if they have found a fix??
I havent been able to find one and i cant really keep working on the typeface with this dilemma

Can you show us a screenshot that has the vertical ruler in it?

Your vertical 0 coordinate is set at the bottom of the art. Double click in the upper left corner, in the ruler margin to reset the 0,0 coordinates.

double clicking that square only places it on the top left corner but that doesnt resolve my original problem. The problem is that anything under the 0 is still positive & anything over it is negative. this doesnt help me when I have to setup a font file with exact numbers to paste the letters. Is there a way inside illustrator that can change the 0.0 so that anything on top of the 0 is positive and under it is negative?

So you are wanting Illustrator to count up from 0 instead of down. I think it used to work like that a way long time ago, but I am not sure if there is a way to change it now.

Thanks, Doug. I had seen that forum but thought maybe it wasn't compatible. I gave it a go and everything seems to be working just the way I wanted it

Hi, Carlos, glad to see you. Didn't know if you were still around, but I guess I'm the one who's been gone.
Yes, I used your script just a short time ago, and haven't had any problems as a result.

Hello, Jacob, my friend. Delighted to see you as well.
It never occurred to me that Carlos's script could possibly fail me. And life seems saner when I'm primarily in Quadrant I.

You created it Carlos, so how could it (be conceivable that it might) fail to work?
