Why Font(HelveticaNeue Bold, HelveticaNeue) show * in Adobe Illustrator CC 2021 25.0.0.60 for Window

- HelveticaNeue Bold

- HelveticaNeue Regular

but it is not working, showing *, please help me 😞

The * is not showing the font installed, it's showing that it's NOT installed.

How did you install, by using the built-in installer (right mouse click-> install), or by physically dragging into font folder?

If the latter how do you know it's a valid font file?

What's the suffix?

If this came from a Mac it may not be Windows compatible.

What's the file size? - if it's zero or very small it's probably corrupted or an old font format.

If it was sent by email unZipped, it may have become corrupted.

I'm curious why Illy isn't asking you if you want to Activate missing fonts...

Are the fonts in Postscript Type 1 format? Adobe dropped support for Type 1 fonts recently.
