Hi,
This issue really affects me, especially when I create an entire path, but then gets destroyed due to more points.

Can you show an example? Does the path with the width profile applied change when you add anchor points?
Does the path change when you add points with the Width Tool?

BWT,
When you change the length of the path, the width profile stretches or contracts with it, but relative to the length it stays the same.
So the widths at corresponding points remain the same.
It works like other ways of making variable widths, such as (stretchable parts of) Art Brushes.

I know, but I want it to lock so it always stays the same. Its very annoying.

BWP,
As I (mis)understand it now, you wish to have it keep the proportion of width to length.
What happens if you start with a basic straight path having the desired proportion, then turn it into an Art Brush and tick Proportional?

Still, nothing

Just in case you do not know how Uservoice works:
you make a request. The engineers take a look at it. Other people take a look at it and add their vote if they decide they like it. The engineers watch that, see if they can implement it at all, consider the cost of implementing this and the benefit of it. This process can take *years*. And in the end if your request just doesn't fly with anyone, it can end up being not implemented.
There is the plugin WidthScribe (not for free). You might want to check it out. I don't understand what you expect, so I don't know whether or not the plugin fits your needs.

And how it changes depends if you add smooth or corner anchor points.

If theres not a way, can you do an update? This also affects when I want to mirror an object too.

What tool are you using to add points to a path? If I draw a path and then change its stroke width using the width tool I can add more anchor points along the path using the Pen tool and it doesn't affect the width properties. If I create a copy of the path and mirror it horizontally or vertically the width properties are mirrored with the path.

Pen tool.

I can't seem to duplicate the problem you're having. If I have width tool effects applied to a path I don't see any of those effects change merely by adding more anchor points to the path using the Pen tool.

The Width tool doesn't change the width of a stroke where there are existing width adjustments. However, when you add new anchor points Illustrator tries to average the width. You can still use the Width tool to adjust the width of the stroke at the newly added points.

I don't want that. Its very annoying.
