Zoom to selection: productivity killer

Has anyone discovered a way to turn off the zoom to selection default function?

Unlike several other garbage-bloated-features introduced with Illustrator CC you cannot turn this off.

Only way is to go back to 2015.3 as our company did.

Zoom to selection and slow buggy new window are making 2017 an annoying and  failed release.

Hi Craig,

This is an expected behavior and designed this way. Unfortunately no way to disable the new zoom to selection at the moment, but a workaround is, you can hold Alt/Cmd and scroll the mouse wheel up/down to zoom in/out where the cursor is.

If GPU option checked you will get Zoom option, else you can get Zoom to Selection.

The GPU performance can be checked or un-checked in Preferences
