I'm trying to fill a circle with the gradient fill, black with blue in the middle. The problem is that whenever I try making the middle blue, it keeps reverting to a purple. (EG The hex color I want is 0000FF and it keeps going to 381292)

How do I fix this?

Is your document in CMYK mode? CMYK doesn't support richly saturated blues. #381292 is about as close as you can get in CMYK.

Try creating your document in RBG color if you want to use that gamut.
