New Here ,
Dec 13, 2020 Dec 13, 2020

Hello,

Can someone show me where to find the automatic guides in Illustrator for iPad? I do see where the guides toggle is turned on but I don't know how to access the rulers to drag. Looking for some help/guidance here.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. This feature is not available in Illustrator on the iPad yet, however, we're working on it. I'd request that if you could take out a moment and upvote this feature request here (https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/931888-illustrator-ipad-feature-requests/suggestions/41803486-add-guides-and-rulers-to-illustrator-ipad).  This way, you will keep getting all the updates related to this feature and more votes would help to prioritize.

Hi,

At present, the "Guides" toggle lets you toggle on/off any custom guides you may have created using the Convert to Guide feature in the Object panel.

In the meanwhile, the document from iPad syncs automatically to the desktop, so you can use the desktop Ai to use these features.

I know this is 4 years old but I think you're looking for this solution.

In Illustrator for iPad, when you create a guide there will be a cooresponding guide layer. Select the guide layer to see the options to move/drag the guide.
